I'm really close to buying a couple of the new Maglites in soft white to use as TOOLS.
I'm convinced the newer tech is better but not persuaded, too many options, and what is really making me want a mag is I heard they're great for reading rulers with. I use a $35 6 inch ruler. I take tools seriously.
Before I miss out on the new tech, any more recommendations?
I can't spend any more time researching, bout time to make a decision.

Got a ~$40 measuring tape myself (several of them actually), so I know even simple hand tools can be expensive.
For serious use, I would recommend Fenix.

If neutral or warm white is your preference (around 4000 Kelvin), how about WF11E?

Maglites are great, no arguing that, and made there in CA your home state!

You might also consider the Underwater Kinetics Lighthouse. Now, I haven't bought one yet, but they look wicked cool in the video, and I really want one! Maybe more! "We want more, we want more!" What commercial was that in? Anyway, watch the video and see what you think about it. Made in California USA, too! 👍

From your other posts you seem dead set on a Maglite so you might as well just buy one and try it out. If it works for you then stick with it. If it does not then identify why it does not work for you and make your selection based on that. Since a flashlight is a tool just remember that sometimes the most expensive tool is not the best one for a particular task.
