Storm Checkin

Finally get to go home today!

I got activated as part of our hospital system's A Team on Tuesday and have been here ever since. It snowed, the froze, then melted, then froze again. The roads were (are) in bad shape as we don't have any snow removal equipment here in the Lowcountry.

Still here, been a while I know.
We manage to dodge the worst, thankfully. Probably because we're well prepared. You know like you never get *buried* under snow after you get a snow blower or the power never goes out more than an hour after you get a standby generator? Well, eventually it comes. It's just much easier when you're prepped. Say safe folks!

Cheers

I'm present, physically at least. It's been a while since I last stopped by...what's new?
Greta sold CPF to Mister Ed.
No more Moderators.
Rules have been relaxed to a certain extent.
We all police ourselves for the most part now.
But CPF is still mostly Family Friendly.
I recently bought a watch to commemorate my 50th Birthday.
I think that pretty much covers everything.

You don't become cooler with age, but you could care less about being cool, which is the only true way of being cool. This is called the Geezer's Paradox.

Phew, thanks!

@Monocrom for some reason I thought you might appreciate seeing this bad boy.

P.s. yes it still glows, albeit a bit spotty.

My coffee cups says "I used to be cool" on one side and "get off my lawn" on the other side.
Actually the one I'm sipping Door Country Misletoe Mocha from currently says "warning I might offend you today" on both sides. (As Isley Brothers 'who's that lady' plays in my earbuds)

We had a lot of trees down, but got really lucky nothing landing on the house. We were without power for 15 days.
