Storm Checkin

I appreciate the concern. But I can say that I'm thankfully safe where I am. And, I'm very concerned about others members. Thank you Mister. Ed for having created this topic.

I'm in Texas so no storms of note recently in my area. We do see our fair share of Tornados though.

I'm in Wisconsin, so I'm fine.

Great idea sending messages to members to bring attention to this thread.

Hope everyone is well.

All good in Georgia! I've been away for awhile and miss CPF. My work and life has changed quite a bit for the good. I am a Grandfather to two identical twin boys! Life is good!

I hope everyone is safe!

All good her in So Cal. My buddy lives in Coral Gables, FL. Luckily he sustained minor damage and his house is in tact.

Positive wishes to all who weathered the storm ... 🌀

We've had several storms hitting our friends in the Southeast.

Please post here, and let us know you're okay!
Everything's been fine here in Miami and apart from some moderate 'breezes' Wednesday night, it was a 'chamber of commerce' day and I work at Bayside Marketplace—an outdoor mall catering to tourists, in downtown Miami.

I talked with a lot of customers today who came here to wait the storm out and many were apprehensive about going back.

We got lucky because hurricanes are generally a 'zero sum game.' Somebody gets lucky, but others get screwed.

All good here in Chi-Town. Immediate family in Florida all survived. Trees down, no electricity and flooding all pale in comparison to what could have happened. God speed to everyone affected!

Down in Florida (Melbourne area). Internet just came back up after Milton came through. There were some tornados that touched down to the north and south of us but overall the area looks pretty good all things considered. Mostly just had some tree debris to clean up.

We are all good here is SE Alabama. We are about 25 miles north of the Florida line and 30 miles west of the Georgia line. We were expecting some bad stuff from Helene, but only got about 4" of rain 25 mph winds. It jogged east just before landfall and we were spared.

Frost tonight here on the south shore of Lake Erie, depending on the wind. All in all blessed with mild, normal fall weather so far.

Hey @Mister Ed, thanks for the concern sir. I'm in the Toronto area, clear of the mayhem further south, but have immediate family who were in the thick of it in FL. Thankfully they're safe and sound and didn't suffer any major damage to their properties. I hope everyone else came through relatively unscathed also.
