Have had the BatonLite for about 2 Years and quickly noticed the same as you:
"What I Didn't Like: The twist switch turns very easily. Beware of the light turning on without your knowledge and depleting the batteries."
Fixed this by placing an O ring in the grove between the twist cap and body, no more accidental activation. Have also seen the occasional flicker problem. Think this may be caused by dropping the light and the 3 batteries positive contacts compressing slightly or different dimensions from different manufactures. A little Aluminum foil folded and placed in bottom fixed that.
Have a NANO-MATE on the way. This should make a good companion to the Batonlite with both using N cells.
