Streamlight polytac

I have the older model.. Wanted to get some feedback from other people about what they thought of the light.. mine takes the 16650 and cr123a

I've had and used mine for about 5 years now. It lives in our travel trailer now and is our go-to camping flashlight.

I have a Polytac X in route. I liked that it was programmable, 18650, polymer, and could tailstand. Perfect for the garage or toolbox for my uses. I have always had a preference for quality polymer lights, I suppose that is why I still like my SF G2Zs (modded of course). I wish there was a quality AA or 16340 sized polymer light (with a clip) for edc.

I have a polytac X and a polytac HP. I posted a little comparison of the two here -

I think both are very good value but you need to be careful not to drop/lose the spring that makes contact with the head and the aluminum tube in the handle when changing batteries as they won't work without the spring (the spring should have been made to snap on to the head more securely so that it doesn't fall off).

I have one of the original 80 or 120 lumen versions that lives in my hunting pack. It has held up great so far but it doesn't get used too often anymore.

Solid, reliable flashlight line from Streamlight.
I have a handful of models over the past several years.
Never a single issue.
