I have a Streamlight (5 or 6 yrs old) TwinTask 2-L LED light and need to replace the plastic lens. I can't figure out how to remove it so I can install a glass lens. Anyone know how the stock lens is removed without a large hammer and a lot of cussing?

Is it the 2L 3W Streamlight?
Those have a plastic lens that is press fitted.

Yeah, it's the single LED lamp style using two 3v Li batteries and the lens appears to be press fit. I know how to polish plastic, but the deep scratch across the lens is well beyond even wet sanding. I am screwed.

If it is the 2l 3W I was able to press out the plastic lens, and press in a new mineral glass lens. You have to be very careful where if you press it wrong it will break. I used a c clamp to press mine in.

Well, thanks----I'll give that a try. I was concerned that it might be glued in.

Did you press it out from the front toward the back or the other way? I'm having a tough time with this.

I can't remember if I pressed it out the front or back. I know I pressed it in from the front. I think I pressed it out the back.

I successfully wrecked the reflector assembly in an attempt to drive the lens out the front with a large pin punch. I called Streamlight and told them that the head assembly was "broken" and I threw it away but kept the rest of the light. This is awesome------the gal said to send in the remainder of the light and they'd replace it with an upgraded version free of charge!!!!!!! Not just the head assy, but a whole new light. All of a sudden Streamlight is now my favorite flashlight manufacturer.
I wonder if I call my in-laws and tell them that my wife is broken?????????

You were suppose to remove the bezel, and remove the reflector. I am glad to hear Streamlight will take care of your problem.
