SupBeam Rechargeable Thrower K50 V2 [XM-L2 U2, 4x18650] Review

This light is VERY SLIPPERY to handle and rotate the magnetic ring one handed unlike some of the other older models.

I have been applying stair tread grip tape to the four flat sides of the battery tube and it still feels slippery on the shiny parts without the emery cloth feeling tape.

Great light but big letdown in the grip department!!!!

My Fenix TK75 feels much much better than the Supbeam K50 even with the stair tread tape applied to the K50.

I just applied some clear silicone rescue tape around the battery tube of my Supbeam K50 V2 and it works really well.

It has a rubbery feel that makes for a good grip.

I wrapped it in a spiral pattern all the way down the battery tube.

I can still read the writing on the sides of the light.

I may try some black rescue tape if I can find some at the boat and 4WD shops near me to see which colour is best.

Where I bought the clear tape they were out of black.

This rescue tape can help out in fixing many problems and I will be keeping a roll of it in my SUV from now on.

The K50 has the same head size as the K40 (76.5mm), but the light was not officially released.
The K50 V2 has a bigger head (90.1mm). I have not heard of that issue. Could you explain it in detail?
