Super bright bouncer light.

Ummm, would an ultrastinger be bright enough?

When you do find the right flashlight, make sure that its something that cant be used against yourself. Someone mentioned an ASP Baton in the other thread. When people get into fights, they usually have a group of friends with them. So if one jumps in, everyone is gonna jump in. That baton could easily be knocked out your hands and the other guy can pick it up and start bashing you.

Thanks for all the advice folks. Sorry to start the same thread in two forums...rookie mistake. So, for the most blinding light; led or not in a nice, sturdy aluminum housing, the final verdict would be?.... Thanks a lot folks. Hey; check out this website if you're interested in photonics...it's where I work

Of coarse it's up to you, the Inova X5T maybe more apt to slip out of your hand then the knurled Surefires. Inova X5T also should be able to hit someone, or the ground, without breaking the bulb, like the Surfires, the impact, may break the bulb.

Get 'em both?

i would definitely recommend something like a brinkman lx or an e2e or even better, an m2 with p61. believe me, that'll get someones attention!

It's not LED, but I'd say a Surefire M2. Very sturdy and dependable and bright as well. The shock resistant lamp assembly seems like it would be useful in this type of use.

I would have said the M2D because it could be used in two brightness modes, but the rumor is they are not going to build it.

If you really wanted a smaller light like the E2, I might consider waiting for the A2 instead as you could have the features of the E2 plus low light LED operation to check IDs, etc.

As far as LED's go, Sabby is correct.

However, why a LED? Incandents offer the piercing, extended range, spotlight, that you want. Ever been pulled over by a LEO? Know what those light look like in back of you? That's what you want!

Looks like you want a Brinkmann Legend LX, or a Princeton Tec Surge, on the low end, or a Surefire M3 or a M4 or a M6 on the high end.

These are all relatively small, and bright.

Middle ground would be a rechargable Streamlight, the SL-20x or the LS-35x, or even the UltraStinger. All are favorites of Police. Nice power of a club in your hand, also!

OHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Another option would be the ASP triad or other ASP lights, all 2 cell lithium, with an ASP baton mounted on the other end.

Have you ever seen an ASP Baton? Powerful stuff. Notice that LEO's don't carry "night sticks" anymore? They use the colapasable batons!

All these lights have the piercing, attention getting power, that you are looking for.

The Streamlights offer "club" type build also, and the ASP flashlight/baton combo, well, let's just say that you probably won't be needing to call for help after you extend that baton! BTY, it is a one flick motion, and the baton is extended.

Have fun, and if you see me in line, let me into the VIP section for free!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Wolfedust,

It sems clear that you would like a small, super bright LED light which is brighter than any commercially available LED light. While some of our resident "modders" like Lambda, Electolumens and others have created unusually bright LED lights, I get the impression that you would like something as bright as a very bright incandescent.
Unfortunately, such a light doesn't yet exist.

Perhaps you really would be better off with a bright incandescent (not the E2; its highly dispersed beam is significantly less "blinding" than that of other lights. If you want the two most blinding 2 battery (123's)lights on the market, you will have to look away from Surefire and Streamlight at the ASP Taclite/Triad and the TACM III, the two most intense and long- projecting 2x123 lights currently on the market.

Would you be so kind as to clarify your needs and preferences once more so that I (we) can reexamine our reponses, and taylor them to your wishes.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Like I said in my post, its not that hard for gang of people to take that baton and start bashing you with it. Using your own weapon against you. I wouldnt get a baton.
