(snide) COMMENTS
  • Good price/performance on knockoff - Garrity is allright relative to other retail-price keychain lights
  • Average 5mm white LED tint
  • Defined on-off "click" due to snap dome
  • Re-assmbly is a nuisance due to excessive part count and tight fit of components
  • Excessive part count might compromise reliability after a few assembly/disassembly cycles
  • Swivel on review sample does not rotate freely
  • Knockoff fit and finish is poor relative to most other keyfob lights
  • Light is far larger than most other 2xCR2016 lights
  • Suggested use: (semi-reusable) keychain light

It could be done without having to solder anything. You'll have to experiment with clipping/bending the leads on the LED. I've "modified" a number of keychain lights in the past (usually swapping out a crppy white with a red and changing the 2x 2016's to a 2032).

Just don't expect it to survive too many disassembly/reassembly cycles - parts will get lost, screws/threads will strip, etc.
