Supernova E3 Optic Source

I took the bezel off my E3 and found a 35mm OD X 18mm tall TIR style optic. The LED is a Seoul P4. I haven't been able to locate a source for the optic and I'd like to play around with other lenses. I'm finding plenty of 20 to 25mm OD lenses but nothing in at 35mm OD.

Is anyone aware of a source for this optic?

Well, the Gaggione Mobdar should do, or the dealextreme sku's 12437 and 4544. Someone here might have beamshots with a P4.
With the Mobdar you might get a nicer beam if you countersink the LED opening a little (iirc 4/10 of a millimeter), as it was originally designed for Luxeons.

I thought the P4 was only available in parallel arrangements, am I wrong about that? I have often wondered if some kind of converter could be used for a dyno light, but it seems inefficient.

What do the electronics look like? I've been curious about that...

I agree with improving the optics, my old homemade dual-Q2 headlight makes the Supernova singles look pretty sloppy. Not because it's all so much brighter, but because the optics work so much better. It outthrows a supernova single by about double, and the spill is just fine for seeing up close. The two I've pedaled alongside threw out a beam that reminded me why I shelved my old Luxeon Dinotte and built my own.
