Recently purchased a Surefire 3P body and was looking to purchase a drop in. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Malkoff M91 with a 16340 will give you about 500 lumens for 15 minutes. Not so practical but if you want a pocket rocket it's a blast. Also will run on cr123 for about 100 lumens with a decent run time.

That sounds fun, I'll need to try that with the VME and an E1.

Another vote for the M31W. It's so good.

Another option is the Malkoff 361 drop in cool or neutral that lets have decent run times on the lower two modes and a high blast when you want it. The only problem may be the tail cap which might need upgrading to a clicky for the modes to work reliably.

And concerning the M31s, the rechargeable 3v batteries by keeppower and ebel are a big plus and you can always have primaries as back up because you never know when the rechargeable will shut down.

The 3P uses the C-series head, rather than the VME - I think.

Illumn has an M31LL variant, 219B - but you have to catch it in stock.

Try Malkoff drop-in or Lumens Factory's.
Personally not looking into Malkoff due to price range. But I do come across LFs often. LF does offer the single-cell (3-3.7V) D26 variant running at around 1.5A (previously 1.2A). They also have a tri-LED variant which yields very good area illumination IMO.

I have an old 6P clone that I've upgraded several times over the years with Lumens Factory drop ins.

Just one thing to note. Per LF, their modules have been tested and verified only on genuine SF hosts in stock form. So if you have clones, or legoed SF setups, any dimensional discrepancies could result in the failure of such modules due possible electrical contact issues. So be careful.

How well and about how long would an M61L run with an 18350 (1200 mAh)
