Surefire must have a breakthrought in led technology to acheive 400lm from a single LED, unless im mistaken. Im very interested to see how it turns out. What are your thoughts?

They could just use a P7 in the Invictus to get 400 lumens, or more. So the rumors are it isn't going to be a P7? Hm... :)

The C-bin P7's should be able to produce 900 lumens at the emitter.

yeah but what kind of runtime will it get, mere minutes, kinda useless imo

right right right...p7 2.8a for the 900 but 1.4a for the 400 so im guessing 2xcr123 at 1.4a ...doesnt one of the tiablo's do 1.4a

Keep in mind this should be 400 OUT THE FRONT lumens. These should be quite the insane flashlights, definitely getting an Invictus as soon as they come out.. I have one of the new LedLenser 3xAAA focusing lensers with the SSC LED, and though the flood is not bad at all, there is a still a SLIGHT darkness towards the middle of the beam. Hopefully the Invictus' flood will be flawless...

Well, it looks like I got my models mixed up.. It's the Optimus, with the variable beam, that I'm wanting, as I just checked out my SF2008 catalog that I downloaded awhile back. Is the Optimus still going to be 200 lm as stated in this catalog, or will it now be 400? With the expected prices, I'm only going to be able to get one, for now, not "all" in typical flashaholic style...
