I own 2 lights that aren't Surefires:

Fenix PD30 (I bought)
Streamlight Stinger (Dad gave it to me from when he was a cop)

I will never buy another light that isn't a Surefire.

I just plain love them.

Some people are Ford people, some are Chevy people, some are Dodge people (imports don't really exist.. so shhhh)..

I'm a Surefire guy.

I can give you 100 reasons why they are the best and someone can give you 100 reasons why I'm wrong.

You just need to do some research, piddle with this and that, and see where your brain (..or heart) leads you.

was and is top with incans
no longer (and never really been) top with led

I don't want 3000000000 lumens. I don't want some miracle perfect white tint.

I wan't something with just enough lumens from an LED that I know is going to work perfect.

Surefire offers me that, so IMO they are the best with LEDs.

Flame on!

But the aftermarket can fill in where SureFire left off.
top at machining --> thats why all those "inserts" sell so good. Keep the good housings and change to better technique
which I mentionned ...

still: more expensive and less "good", than the usual jetbeam, fenix, ...
(considering light levels, programmable levels, UI, chemistrys, battery sizes, ...)
