Quick question guys,Help a SureFire newbe. I bought a new 6P LED this summer and loved it. Then when visiting my local (3hrs away) Surefire dealer I handled a 6P Defender and really liked the click off and on tailcap and the strike bezel. So for Christmas my wife got me the 6PD and I put the P60L in it and took the P60 lamp out and put it in the 6PL. I was looking at the SureFire website and noticed that for both the 6PD and 6P surefire states that the lens is tempered Pryex, while the 6PL is stated as coated Pyrex. Can I run a P60 and P61 lamp in the 6PL with the coated Pryex lens? Or will it melt it.

Thanks

You should have no trouble running a P60 or P61 lamp assembly with a pryex or lexan lens (the older 6Ps [ect.] all had the lexan lens installed). There is always a chance of melting, but I've never had any problems.
