Can anyone tell me if this light is water proof enough for my wife to use on the shower for extra light to shave with? I know its an odd question but I really dont want to buy another light since i have this and a stinger hp.

All (new) surefire are waterproof to 10 meters i think, they're definately showerproof.

No.
SureFire rechargeable flashlights (8NX/8AX/L7, 9AN & 10X) are not 'waterproof'.
They have a tiny vent hole that is plugged by a pellet (to catalyse any hydrogen that may be vented by the battery pack), and this is not watertight.

I would not suggest using a 9AN in a shower - prolonged exposure to water and especially hot water vapour no doubt compromise the seals at some point.

PT surge

Shave and tan at the same time.

But a hedlamp might be more handy (or hand free actually) but I don't think they are water proof enough.

I call Surefire and asked if it is water resitant enough for use in a shower the tec support said yes.

I have both a 9AN & a 9AN+KT3 and do not hesitate to use them outdoors in the rain as this should not cause any issues.
However, cold rain is very different to hot water / vapour.
Additionally, rapid changes in temperature and/or humidity cause problems as well.

I guess it all depends on how often your wife shaves and uses the flashlight. If this is to be a regular and frequent use of a flashlight I suggest getting a dedicated waterproof [divelight] flashlight or perhaps even improving the lighting in the bathroom/shower area. Good news is that divelights (Underwater Kinetics, Princeton Tec, Pelican etc) tend to be less expensive compared to rechargeable dutylights and 'tactical lights'.
