Surefire 9N - Charger Compatability question

Good day, all -

What an outstanding site, and resource !!

Question - I carry a Surefire 9N as my back up light. It came with a C500 charger and two B92 batteries.

The charger has stopped working.

I understand that Surefire has a pretty good attitude toward warranty work but.......

Since I was looking at getting an 8NX Nitrolon, would there be any problem using the B90 batteries and charger that come with the 8NX on my 9N ? Any compatability issues ?

Appreciate any advice and counsel, and thank you !

(I'm sure I've heard that name before somewhere.)

The 8#X and the 9N both use the same battery, the B90, which supercedes the B92.
So you can use the same charger cradle and transformer for both torches.
I'm sure that SureFire would repair your C500, but the current model, the CN400 is a fast/smart charger. My B90's charge up in about <90 minutes, (though the manual says up to 120 minutes may be required).

The 8NX415 kit has all the components you need, 8NX torch, 2x B90's, CN400 charger cradle, T001 auto adapter for the cradle, and the T210 USA mains transformer.
If you want to use both 8NX and 9N "at the same time", it could be an idea to get one or two additional B90's, to make a total of 3-4.

Incidentally, PK, (SureFire's Top Designer chappie) says that the transformer can be used with all SureFire charger cradles, even for the 10X.

Having said all that, before you actually buy anything, please check with SF Customer Service: [email protected] is the e-mail address.

He is a Sir!

I use the SureFire powersupply to recharge either the 8NX batteries or the 10X.

I suggest a chat with SureFire Customer Service to help you out.
