Has there been any indication of what the price might be, yet? It's as *big* as an M2 (well, almost).

I sure hope the price isn't comparable to the M2!

PK posted the final version and it's shorter than that prototype. The price, hmm lets see...the E2e is $85, now add Digital Regulation, a clickie tailcap and 3 LED LA.

If I had to guess it will retail at around $125, street price of $100-110.

Anyone else wanna take a guess?

I think Darell made a speculation awhile back, and many of us agreed, that it is going to be $32.95 was that the price we all agreed on? Yeah. I thing it's going to be about $32.95

You got it Ryan. But that's the retail price. I'm putting a $25 target on the street price. I'm thinking it will easly be worth $5 more than an Arc AAA.

Think we can convince them that that's all we'll pay?

Buy a pack of 10 123a's and get a free A2, sounds like a good deal to me

Getting back on topic, Anyone actually seen an A2 running.

Can you give comments on the incandescent and LED output ?

Uhhhh. Are you sure that the A2 pictured isn't the final version? I was under the impression when I was there (holding up the paper backdrop) that this was the final???

BTW, the 3 LED's is very similar to a newbeam and this particular unit was missing the incandescent LA so I didn't get to see the regulated LA beam.

I think the $32.95 model will be missing more than the LA; probably missing the bezel and 2 position switch as well.... :)

The picture that x-ray posted is the final version size, as a matter of fact, that's were that picture came from. PK put that picture in a tread about the "final" A2 size that's suppose to go into production.

As for a guess on price.

I think it will cost between the price of a C2 & an M2. $130 or so.

I hope it's $32.95 though.

Personally, I'm waiting for the $34.95 official pk signature LE version.

Sean,

Thanks for clarifying this. I also recalled this image as PK's answer to the final version. I have sent for reinforcements but it seems they are not needed now. I still can't figure out how the pocket clip works though...........................

What does a Surefire Backdrop-Holder-Upper make these days Don? The best I could do down there at SFHQ was Trash Can Emptying Technician. PK must have a thing for you.

I'm glad my question about the price of the A2 provided you guys with so much material. I had a good laugh, in any event.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the price, considering (LOTC, LED's, digital regulation...) but it's a lot of money, no matter how you slice or dice it. Nice thing about SureFire flashlights: they are expensive, but exceedingly well made, with outstanding customer service, and, for some models at least, almost endless accessories.

The same cannot be said for many other products costing in this neighborhood. The peace of mind knowing that SureFire *really* stands behind their products makes it a bit easier to pay so much for them; and aside from the bad experience with the B-90's (not manufactured by SureFire, of course) I've never been disappointed with any SureFire light. It will be interesting for the acknowledged king of the incandescent flashlight world breaking into the world of LED's. The A2 is going to be yet another masterpiece; even the concept deserves, and gets, my admiration.
