In the last couple months i have switched everything in my house to rechargables. But, now i want to do my flashlights. Are surefires good to go with rechargeables? 6P, couple G2L's, and a couple weapon lights.

your G2L won't be hurt by trying out a 17670, altho I don't know how well the P60L works on that much less voltage.

your 6p won't work very well as an incan, on a single rechargeable, and on 2 RCR123's will almost certainly blow the stock incan bulb. Of course there are any number of led dropins you could get for the 6p that would run well on either 1 or 2 rechargeables.

as for your weapon lights, same general answer I think - led's ok with rechargeables, incans not.

They are all led's. thanx for the response. should i use two r123's of is there 1 battery that replaces the two?

What LED is it, the P60L or aftermarket?

If the LED will work with less voltage (3.7 - 4.2v) then a 17670 cell would be the way to go (more capacity for longer runtime).

Two 16340 cells would be 8.4v fully charged....that would likely :poof: the P60L. If it was a P90L, it would be OK.

P60L's Although i am looking for aftermarket now. It's a lot to dig thru

aftermarket dropins come in many flavors. think about how you will be primarily be using each particular light:

1) indoors or outdoors
2) importance of brightness vs long runtime (multiple hours)
3) whether floody is more useful, or throw for longer distances

You may choose to earmark different lights for different purposes, and the optimum dropin for one may be far different than for the other.

A great balance between flood and throw, especially nice tint for outdoors but decent for indoors as well, is the Malkoff M61W. Runtime is even pretty good given the emitter's efficiency, although you can get lower power consuming modules from Malkoff as well that might be better for emergencies or SHTF situations.

I ordered two M61W's and a M60LF last night. those things were hard to find. Thanx for the help. I dont know how you guys keep up with all the info. I cant stay on this forum for more than a hour without gettting a brainfreeze. Feel like im in college chemistry again
