Surefire C2 -vs- C2 Centurion ?

Whats the difference between the two?... is the Centurion model a step up?

Yep. I am looking at two right now.

No. A00279 says SureFire Centurion and the body has 3 flats

I wasn't aware of any body differences... Which one is newer? I have a C3 Centurion with 3 flats and then the side with the clip is slightly rounded.

The newer one (with the higher number) is as you describe - three full flats plus a small flat under the spring. The older one has a true rounded "bottom" (opposite the clip).

I think I know what you're talking about. I found this pic in the Rare SF thread. The top CENTURION C2 ELITE appears to be rounded on the top and bottom while the STRIDER and TAURUS C2's have the flat bottom.
