SureFire E2(E) as an EDC

All you have to do is spend an hour or so on CPF and/or the SureFire discussions boards to find out that many folks use the E2 and E2E as an every day carrier.

My question is where in the world do you carry it. Although the E2E is small for it's output, it's not something I would consider carrying around all day in one of my pockets.

That means that most of you must carry them on your belt or in a holder on your belt. Is this the case? For you suit and tie guys, how do you carry your E2E?

I would carry my E2e if they had a bezel down clip. As of now, Arc-LE is the EDC.

I carry my E2 in my left pocket clipped in the corner. My knife with clip is in my right pocket. I carry the E2 instead of the E2e because the file type finish was eating up the edge of my pocket. TX

When wearing a suit, I carry my E2e in my left front pocket or I leave it somewhere in my jacket. To be honest, I really think there are only a very few uses for an E2e for someone working in an office that is not a technician etc. An Arc AAA would more than suffice in almost every conceivable office situation that may arise calling for a flashlight. That being said, I still carry the E2e quite often while dressed-up.

You can never have too much gear.

When wearing more casual clothes, the E2e goes in a lower cargo pocket or again in the left front pocket for plain khakis. Unless you load up with tons of other gear, the E2e or E2 is not that bad in a front pants pocket in my opinion.

The E2e on the belt in a V82 next to a Leatherman is a no-brainer when outdoors.

I carry it at the bottom of my left front pants pocket under my wallet. Lens side pointing down. I don't notice the added weight as the wallet is lighter by an almost equal amount <grin>!

In my right front pants pocket, I keep my keychain with the ARC LE and (usually) the tiny Swiss Army knife. Separately I have chapstick. Change goes in with the keys. Tissues go in the right rear pocket. I use an oval titanium key ring with screw-lock.

The keys are on a split ring and the arc and Swiss Army go on that and the car keys are separate. I have other keys in my shoulder back (along with my glasses and the spare bulb/batteries for the E2e). Also the X5 and more pens live in the shoulder bag.

My shirt (left) breast pocket holds my palm VX and a pen or pencil (no pocket protector, thank you).

I wear an analog, windup wrist watch (an overly generous 15-year employment gift). All it tells me is the time and date...and I have to change it on 28, 29, and 30 day months.

Cheers,

Richard

I used to carry my E2 in a SF 6P holster before I replaced it with the ASP Taclite(Triad) or the TACM III. It was an OK fit, if slightly loose. The TACM and Triad fit perfectly. Unless you have a junk food gut it is unnoticeable under a suit jacket.

You guys who carry that E2e inside your pocket: how do you keep that impressive HA-curling from ruining the pockets?

Klaus.

I have an E2 and carry it the same way.

I sandblasted and polished my E2 back to the Aluminium, so no HA, and smoother knurrls

Wow - you sandblasted your E2? I'm impressed. Got any pictures?

My friendly local glass workshop did it in a matter of seconds. Polishing it took a lot longer ......

I'll try and get some photos done Graham - it may take some time though.

Ps - sorry nascar, I just realised that the topic is about the E2e.
