I have an old E2E and decided to order an LF E2C adapter so I could use it with a Malkoff M361. The M361 seems to fit well in the adapter, but nothing happens when I switch it on. If I leave the switch on while I unscrew the head the light starts to flicker once the o-ring disengages. Anyone have experience with this? Do I need to strip the anodizing off the E2E threads? The light functions perfectly with a SF P60. Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you using a contact spring along the outside like the p60 has?

If you're familiar with p60 style drop ins, many of them have an outer contact spring in addition to the battery contact spring.

Thanks for the reply. This was exactly my problem. I felt a little dumb when I realized I hadn’t included the spring in the installation. It was mixed in with a bunch of parts I ordered and didn’t realize what it was for.
