And any imperfections that occur should either be reflected in the cost before acquisition, OR while under the influence/usage of the owner/user.

Mismatched anodizing has always been an issue and it's even worse on non-black colors. Even my black EDC1-DFT has about three different shades of black and the body is slightly blue, not to mention that the engraving is off-center...

Then again, it's not like SureFire is supposed to be a lifestyle/luxury brand and none of this affects functionality or reliability when used for intended purposes.

For comparison, here are some of the other colors and the middle section of the head always seems to be slightly darker:

True, I guess we're paying for the warranty and not necessarily the aesthetics...

I'll take a pic of my Old e2laa in a bit...the anodizing is definitely matched, lol...i just wish I hadn't lent it out, they dropped it 😡 literally one of the most difficult surefires to fumble, andshe dropped it, lol...

I guess my lack of external freakout is why she loves me XD

Person could donate a kidney to me, I'm not lending them any of my SureFires. They can have my Ultrafire, instead. Of course I'm just kidding.... I don't own a single piece of crap Ultrafire flashlight.

I have been thoroughly enjoying my EDC2-DFT. A70+ serial number, so newish by the standards I'm reading in recent posts. My 6 year old is the proud new owner of an EDCL2-T. 🙂
