Was using the DFT, all was fine, looked away then looked at the lens inside all smoked/fogged up. Looked at the beam and there is a black spot/donut hole in the beam. I only use the Surefire branded red 18650 it came with.

Turned off light and the LED has a spot burned into it. Don't have a camera, only my phone with sucky camera, but you can't miss the burned area :shakehead

Going to call Surefire to get fixed(?)/replaced.

Ouch, looks like you burnt out the led. That's not your fault, that's on surefire. I hope they make it right for you.

Thanks Fish 14. Yeah, I think they'll take care of it. Like you said, no fault of my own, was just using it.

That is unfortunately an known problem with the Fury DFT and Fury Intellibeam DFT. Here in the CPF are some reports with exactly this problem. If you contact Surefire the will fix it!

What I do not know is if there were changes in the electronics of newer models, or the root cause for this burned LED.
