Surefire G2 and Solarforce Head

Will a Solarforce head fit on a G2 without any problems. I see that it lists it fits, but I wanted to make sure. I have a couple of G2's that were icans and want to run LED's in them. They currently have the plastic head and I want to make sure they are heat sinked.

I have a G2 with a Solarforce head. It works just fine. I usually try to keep brand names together, but did not have a SF head of the same color (black). It works fine. Non flashaholics will not know the difference. The G2 is one of my favorite lights.

Thanks, looking for options for my G2. Will the Solarforce head dissipate heat adequately? I read some threads about an additional metal ring inside Surefire heads. I don't want to fry any LED's

The Solarforce heads that I have dissipate the heat fine. No problems at all. Check out the head for the L2T. It is rounded with no anti-roll blocks. It would really look nice!
