SureFire G2 LED Cree ???

new member here...I figured someone will say I should have used the search feature, but I will do that after I post

I bought a drop in cree LED for my G2....it is the older (non-lockout tailcap) version....the lamp will fit the 6P G2 and others...to get it to fit my G2 I had to take the larger spring off the outside of the lamp.......I press the lamp down with my fingers and hold it there and it works, but when I put the bezel on and tighten it down sometimes it will not work at all....or it will be working fine and then if you bump the light good it will quit...I have read somewhere that you might have to make a modification to get it to work with the older SureFire G2

also, I was wondering where I could few more of the Cree LED lamp/bulb drop ins? I am not sure of the one I bought off and auction site.

you may need to replace the positive spring with a longer one and check for good negative contact. If you are looking for something brighter, I have the seoul module from DX in my SF C2 and its much brighter than most of the cree modules. ok...since I could hold the lamp down with my finger and it would work all the time I figured the bezel wasn't pushing the lamp/reflector all the way down...so I took some sandpaper to the bottom of my bezel where it meets the body of the flashlight and took a little off.....works fine now
