can someone point me at a link to surefire history? hav tried ther site but it did hav a big history tanks

I believe that not much can be learned in addition to what is written in the Company History section of the Surefire website.

A few more pieces of information can be gathered via a Google search of the founder's name 'dr John Matthews' e.g.

tanks Kilovolt i was after a bit more but tanks anyway, i bought a surefire G3 on the weekend when i was interstate and the salesmen told me so much stuff i couldnt almost believe one guy could do it he was telling me every surefire is designed by a guy called PK and hes a decorated marine who has one 3 medals of valor plus plus i thought he was making it up cant see anything on there website so maybe he was - tanks for letting me know Kilovolt

Dr. Matthews founded the company in 1980 (or there about). His company (Laser Products) was a pioneer in the LASER industry.
