Re: Surefire knock-off claims 155 lumens on 2x123\'s
the lumen claims are non-reflectorized withought doubt, this would certainly account for an exagerated measurement when compared to sf lights, but one wouldn't assume that much.
my guess it the other lumens are just ficticious ones /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
it is possible that they have come up with better lamps...pelican made brighter and more efficient ones..but i don't konw if this company has the resources or knowlege to do so.
analyse this:
"This is the kind of Halogen light military troops and SWAT teams use."
note, it doesn't say the ligth they use, but the kind of light they use /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
"underwater tested"
this has been commented on above...very keen /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
"Lithium batteries will power up even if the light hasn’t been used for 10 years!"
this could imply that if the light was used for 5 years, it would turn on 15 years after purchase...also, there is debate on the "shelf-life" of batteries...i take shelf life to mean shelf life...not flashlight-life /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
then, of course there are some outright lies:
"Its blinding beam alone could take out the enemy!!! "
"...the Combat Beam is the best."
"Halogen lighting is the latest technology...."
"state-of-the-art technology"
"Satisfaction Guaranteed"
although...the looks are rather tempting...
