I've decided that later on this week I'm going to purchase a KT2 turbohead for my surefire G3. The thing is I know that the old KT2 turbohead's use to come with the N2 lamp assembly, and to honest I'm afraid that I might end up getting one of these instead of the newer one with the MN15 lamp. What do you guys think are my chances of ending up with an older N2 lamp assembly? Has it been long enough that I shouldn't have to worry about it? Is their something on the box that can distinguish the old from the new? Reason I'm asking is that more than likely wherever I order from isn't going to have a clue what I'm talking about or they may not have the item close by to check.

Your chances of getting an N2 are very near zero. They have been out of production for several years. Unless your dealer has some very old stock, it will come with an MN15.

Too bad. The N2 has a very nice round beam and is considered quite desirable by many. They sold for a premium, (even used) but are a rare find today.

If you should get an N2, I will gladly send you a brand new MN15 in exchange.
