Surefire lamp warranty turnaround

Hey guys,

I was wondering what is the wait time on them sending a lamp replacement under warranty. I emailed them three weeks ago and am still waiting for the lamp that blew on my M3 in less than 2 minutes.:drool: If the wait is too long im just thinking of just buying one LA already.

I have not had any experience with SureFire customer service, but I recall many folks saying that they had a quicker response by actually telephoning them rather than using e-mail. I do know from my personal experiences with other companies that e-mail is not the best method for contact, so I also would recommend a phone call.

That's right on. I tried emailing first a few times, and when I got no response I called. In all cases, the phone call was resolved in one week and the emails were never answered. One particularly helpful SF rep advised me to avoid the email option at all costs as many times you'll never get a response. When I needed a LA for a new light, SF UPS'd it the day after my call and I had it in 4 days.

Out of curiosity, did you buy the light locally at a brick-and-mortar? If so, a trip back may yield results, too. I once had a LA die within minutes, and when I stopped back in the store, the guy opened a NIP LA, gave it to me, and put the defective one in the LA baggie. He said he'd send it back to SF as a warranty claim on a defective stand-alone LA so I wouldn't be w/o a light while waiting for the replacement. Just a thought...

I emailed em about a prematurely failed P91, they sent a replacement in the mail, was here within a few days of contact, they didn't even ask to have the old one back or anything.
 
In the past mine have taken less that 10 days but I had called them first. Unfortunately my phone calls to them have been a minimum of 20 minutes. When I sent my L4 back for the sencond time it was 45 minutes to speak to a rep.
