Hi guys, I am planning my next lego/assembly, with these parts:

Leef 2X18650 body

KT2-BK Turbo Head or KT1-BK

Z59 Tail Cap or Leef McClicky Tail Cap

EO-M3 or EO-M3T

and AW's 18650s.

I do have a few questions:

1 Will all of these body parts fit together?

2 What is the difference between the KT1 and KT2 turbo head besides the included LA?

3 Which LA do I use? I suspect the EO-M3T, since it is a turbo head.

4 What is an estimate of range on this thing?

Thanks guys! This will be my first SureFire/Leef lego light, so I figured I should make it a decent one.

Yes.

Nothing.

MN16, or EO-M3T.

4 What is an estimate of range on this thing?
Not as far as I would have expected as I pieced together the very Lego you are describing (with both tailcaps and both lamps). An FM bi-pin socket and WA1111 (versus the MN16, or EO-M3T) is likely your overall best bet option for output and range with the Lego.

1. It should, as all of those parts are intended to work in that type of configuration.

2. included LA is the only substantial difference I am aware of, so if you are trying to score a used one from BST go for either one depending on what is available.

3. I'll paste in your options from the compatibility chart :)
Cell configuration: 2x18650

Bulb Options:
SF MN15: 10W, 154 - 103 lumen in 104 minutes
SF N2: 10W, 154 - 103 lumen in 104 minutes
SF MN16: 20.5W, 360 - 215 lumen in 43 minutes
SF MN20: 20W, 300 - 186 lumen in 47 minutes
SF MN21: 37W, 600 - 375 lumen in 15-20 minutes (unprotected cells required, dangerous configuration)
LF HO-M3T: 16W, 280 - 188 lumen in 60 minutes
LF EO-M3T: 18.5W, 322 - 212 lumen in 49 minutes

Body Options:
Leefbody 2x18650 w/C tail and head, +SF compatible tail-cap, +KT1/2 ++
Leefbody 2x18650 w/C tail and M head, + SF compatible tail-cap, +KT4 ++

---------------
The EO-M3 and other bulbs intended for the M3 non-turbo will not work in the turbo-head you are planning on using.

4. depends on how much lux you are trying to achieve at a given range and how much competing ambient light you are trying to overcome, as with all light...hard to say.... In a dark forest this thing will punch deep.

Which tailcap [Z59 versus Leef McClicky] do you like better?
There are pros and cons of both. Although more difficult to engage while under duress, having had a number of SF tailcaps fail has led me to instill greater confidence in the McClicky. That said, the MN21 powered by a pair of MOLI IMR-18650E cells may prove to be another viable, high output option (albeit at the expense of 1400mAh capacity).

What mdocod said above.

Note that it is important to get the body option right for the head. The C-C LeefBody fits the KT1/2 head, and the C-M LeefBody fits the KT4.

In the pic below, from the left:

Leef 3x18650 C-M, KT4 - 12.75 inches long
BigLeef 3C, M-neck, KT4 - 10.9 ins
BigLeef 2C, M-neck, KT4 - 8.75 ins
Leef 2x18650 C-C, KT2 - 8.9 ins
Leef 2x18500 C-C, KT2 - 8.1 ins
Leef 2x18500 C-C, KT2-BK - 8.1 ins
Leef 2x18500 C-C, KT2 - 7.5 ins
Leef 2x18650 C-M, M3 head - 9.0 ins

I run a 2 x Leaf 18650 with a KT4, Z48 or 58 and a EO-M3T as my big car light at work. With AW's protected 18650's it is a superb set up.

I have not had any problems with either of the SF clickies above or the standard twistie.

DM51, could you give me the length of anything in that picture for frame of reference? I've noticed that things tend to look MUCH larger in high-rez photos than they really are.

Thanks guys, all this has been really helpful! I think this light might even happen sooner than I was hoping. I am probably gonna work 2-3 days helping a guy I go to church with lay some tile. That would easily pay for this light. :twothumbs
