Surefire M6 ?

I ordered one from Surefire a while back. Was told they were backordered to April of 04. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif I am trying really hard to forget about it & just take the attitude of when it shows up I have it. Instead I check my CC every day to see if they have charged it yet.

There was a supply problem before JS's design became popular. Surefire only does 2-3 runs of the M6 per year. That's #1.
Number 2 is even better... surefire had to reject an ENTIRE lot of M6 bulbs, due to quality problems.
I am personally waiting for an M6 myself.
There are two Surefire M6s at the gander mountain store close to my house.
Gander Mountain is asking $395 for them, plus tax.
If any of you guys want one, I would gladly pick it up and send it to you. I don't even want anything extra for it.

I just got an email back from Surefire stating that they would be available again "July/August 2005".

I'll stop over tomorrow and see how many Cabellas has, and I will see of I can bargain them down if I buy more than one at once.

For those of you getting this current production batch, be aware that SF has backordered the MN20 LOLA. I didn't get one in my latest M6 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mecry.gif
I do have the option of getting first dibbs when they eventually get back in stock. Hopefully I won't burn through my CR123s with my MN21 HOLA. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/broke.gif

You *could* always use 3 dummies and run a Mn15 in it...

You don't need dummies - just to get the three-SF123As in the right locations in the MB20 carrier to run the MN15

You need to experiment with a multimeter. I've not tried it myself.

I will try this, running a MN15 in an M6, who would of thought? Well I'll just place batteries in teh battery holder and try to get 9 volts from it.
Right now, its all about the HOLA for my M6.

EDIT: Well feeling kind of slow, didn't know they were in parallel as mentioned in Icebreak's thread. I took out all the batteries in my M6 (factory batteries) and they read 3 were 2.98 volts, and the other three were 2.99 volts. I put the 2.98 ones on the bottom and one 2.99 on top (near + end) and took a reading of 8.95 volts. I put two more batteries in the make 2 X (3 X 123) and it was still 8.96 volts. The M6 HOLA did run when I put in the battery stick with only 4 cells.
I am baffled.

I finally got my long backordered M6 (-LOLA) . It is worth every penny , and every second of the wait ! I think my neighbors will lynch me ! It is a world class fighting lite , kind of makes you want to get a Sig and do dynamic entries . If PK ever comes up with an HID/baby ballast it would be a world beater, as if it isn't already . Hard to believe the thing is smaller than a mini mag lite
