Hi all,
I purchased the Surefire EDC1-Turbo 18350 and was blown away it had 95K lux. I underwhelmed that while it performed fabulously the size was as large and the head was huge.

The Surefire E2D custom: I got the Nitecore MTC2 Pro and let me tell you this is the ultimate thrower not the Surefire EDC1-Turbo. Only 67K lux but short head around a 20mm reflector. The build quality does not feel premium as the Surefire though. So, I had skylumen install the Nitecore MT2C Pro reflector and a SST12 LED inside this Surefire E2E head for me. The 20mm reflector just barely taller than the MV reflector. This combo made 48K lux and nearly 500 OTF lumens safely. Good throw and perfect beam.

Surefire E1B MV: My favorite. I have a 519a with 3500K tint and running 3A driver. 700 OTF lumens. In the stock body with 16340 high drain cells is how I rock it.

McGizmo Mule Aluminum ( most common to see Titanium equivalent): Stock from Don with Hive Driver and XPL (HI) with 4200K tint. I use 3.7v high drain cells here too. As much as I love this setup, a simple mod I did was just remove the sapphire 20mm glass and install a 20mm convex lens and wholly molly is this thing more amazing now. . Just perfect with no artifacts and for being aspheric it looks incredible.

This is the MULE with Aspheric Lens and just utter perfection. With that 18650 body and 18650 its a must as the 16340 body seems right under 3inches and hard to grab and use.

Cool Mule mod! I miss Legoing; I haven't played around like that in a long time. It looks great!

Very beautiful! Where did you get such glass? I see them, but they are different - different thickness, one side is flat, the other is convex, some have 1 convex side and the second concave

Most 20mm convex lens will fit. The goal is to just search on fleabay or anywhere for the shortest one. This one was 20mm x 7mm with a ridge at the bottom of 2mm.

If I could find a 20mm x 4mm or 5mm the lens I think would not stick out the front.

The glass unfortunately goes via the front of the head and it is press fit in there. That was the challenging part for me but if I had a watch glass press this process would be alot easier.
