Hi @ all,

allways a bit building here and there, but too lazy to introduce sth. So I just decided to start a thread showing some builds. Enjoy the pics.

Quad radial rebel tower. Driven by a Sharc. Beam is like a flower and gets pretty hot, so no user. But sexy :naughty:

The next one is in progress and not wired yet. It will be a six color rebel Kroma, taking two 18650s and a SW02 transformed to a two stage LOTC with Don's assembly. Still a lot of work.

Then the M1 mule, driven by a flupic and a 18650. Pretty impressive I can tell you.

And my jewel: The hardy L1 ;)
A Seoul P4 with a McR20 aaand a 17670. Driver is a GD500. Pretty tight in there, that's the maximum you can push a L1 to. The ultimate EDC imho. But I think I am going to switch to a SOB to have the 2-cell option.:twothumbs

Then my crazy M3 Frankenstein.

And some Group pics.

:twothumbsAWESOME!!!:twothumbs

More details on the M3/Kroma Combo!!! PLEASE!!

Thats Some Nice Work There!

OH...and a close-up of that Quad-Rebel Thrower!!!...I gotta see that!

I STILL cant get my Kroma Open!!!:ohgeez:

I have to say to actually throw the rebels are not close enough in the focal point. Maybe s.b. can do it better but as said the heat is a serious issue.

Concerning the M3: I machined a quite complicated heatsink as a base for the Q5 and a ring for the rebels. Actually no parts of a Kroma are used.

It will at least take two weeks till I have the possibility to solder the rebels, then I can reveal more. I know I am cruel ;)

@monocrom: yes, it is a C2M Leef adapter.

Ok, hats off. You just impressed the pants off of me.
That M3 mod with the rebel ring looks absolutely amazing.
How many colors is that? I count 5 different emitter types? How do you switch mode without a hall-effect ring?

About your turbo-tower, did you try to adjust the focus with a rod before cutting the fixed tower? I'm fairly sure koala and don have made prototypes adjustable towers to find out the ideal focus length; you could ask them for help to figure it out...

Oh and did you swap out a CB retainer ring from a kt4 and put that on a kt-1/2? It looks like a middle age mace!

I'm sure I got more question but I'll leave you alone for now =P

Six rebels. And I will use hall sensors, I just have no Kroma or parts of it.
- white Throw, white flood, red, yellow, green, cyan, royal blue, IR.
I will try to make it able to combine two colors next to each other.

But please give me some time to make it work, I do not want to make too much noise around a building site.

For the tower I simply took the hight of the MN filament as a reference. And this seems to be the optimum indeed. I made it in a way that I could change the height with disks in both directions.
The result is not really bad but could be achieved better with a tripple or quad small-reflector mod.

Last but not least: It is the CB ring of my M6 head (if you count one and one together you can imagine I have dignified plans for this one as well ;) )

Then the M1 mule, driven by a flupic and a 18650. Pretty impressive I can tell you.

Can you tell me more about the M1 mule? It appears to be a cree, but how did you heat sink the driver and led? Will this be for sale anytime soon? :twothumbs

Yes, it is a Q5. First of all the heatsink has good contact with the front colar in the M1. On the back of the heatsink is a litle cup , adding additional surface to the sides of the M1. In it there is the Flupic.
The flupic drives the LED with max 500mA, so heat is not that a great issue.
