Based on this post I bought this clone but it's yellow. I want to change the drop-in to make it white and brighter. Which one is the cheapest and brightest upgrade not from ebay? And which one is the best beside D26 from this site?

Just about anything that fit's a 6P will work in this light. There are far too many options to list here. I bought a cheap Cree drop-in from Deal Extreme and a Nextorch clickie and use it with a 17670, works GREAT. But you have to figure out what you want. Good luck, it won't take many dollars to make you happy! Oh and also I forgot, WELCOME! :welcome:

Well if you want to stick to getting things on a budget, Dealextreme has quite a few different P60LED drop-ins. Here's one by Ultrafire that they sell:

One of the best P60LED drop-ins out there that you can get is the Malkoff Devices M60...but getting one can be a bit of challenge right now until he ramps up production.

There's a slew of P60LED drop-ins on ebay, but most have poor or inaccurate descriptions. The way I see it, most of the ebay ones aren't worth the price unless it something pretty unique...so you're better off getting one from Dealextreme. They don't have any drop-ins with anything higher than a Cree XR-E P4 bin emitter in them, but they're still pretty bright. I say start off cheap before you dive into the more expensive drop-ins.

I hate these kind of redundent threads. Take a cheap knockoff that needs to make a cheaper brighter knockoff.
Whynot Do the research yourself ACE? Look on ebay yourself. Be of service to the CPF and buy a couple and try them and report your results here...OR you could read one of the multiple threads on the topic allready going. Look at the very top of the led forum at the dropin sticky everything you need is there and more.

I just pulled the trigger on the Cabela's XPG...it's suppose to be a G&P T6 and I always wanted to add one to my SF C series/P60 compatible flashlight collection. At $25 shipped with knife combo, that's pretty cheap considering a G&P T6 costs around $50 by itself. I love all these P60 module compatible flashlights!

BMF, Yaesumofo is a little grumpy today, please excuse him.
Get the Cabela's light and then go to Deal Extreme and get the 1447 Cree drop in. It is brighter than the 1343 Cree drop in. I have both and I have seen brightness and run time tests that someone here ran. The 1447 is about 100 lumens for 1.5 hours and the 1343 is about 70 lumens for 3 hours.

When you are at Deal Extreme, you might want to get the small keychain squeeze lights. They are about $5 for ten of them. They work and are a good deal. You need some sort of light on your key chain to be a real flashaholic.:) When you get everything put together, come back and tell us how you like it.
Welcome to CPF.
