I asked a trusted vendor about the rumored Surefire price hikes. It turns out that SF will change their dealer markup (wholesale to retail) structure. In the past these markups were different for different products. This will now change to a uniform percentage across the board.

Some products may go up by a dollar or two but that's it except for the 10X Dominator. This one will likely skyrocket. So if you have been hemming and hawing on the 10X get it now before it becomes even more dearly priced. These are apparently starting to ship more reliably now. The G2 on the other hand will be priced at $34.99 MSRP (all colors) so there is definately no reason not to own all three of them.

Finally expect Surefire battery prices to go down significantly. Botach's recent price, while still an outstanding deal, is not too far off from the expected prices in February (this is confirmed in SableCo's post in the Dealer forum).

I hope this information pans out because I would hate to see SF prices go up and I certainly want to be able to use 123s freely without breaking the bank. Too bad about the 10X though.

Cheers.

Edit - I have seen some vendors raise their list prices (MSRP) but the street prices should stay about the same.

Does any one know if SureFire's batteries are covered by their 'no export' contract? Can you buy SureFire batteries from U.S dealers and ship to the UK (even if they can't sell you the flashlights!!)?

Unless you live in the UK, where the cheapest G2 Nitrolon I've found works out at $105

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">If you want one, try a company called copquest

They charge $29.95 for the G2 and $16 for shipping to the UK.

$46 sounds a lot better than $105

According to my price list, SureFire batteries will go up in price on February 1st.

Dan.

If I recall right, Sableco also suggested they'll have a special on the G2 at $25 during/after Feb. Consider the MSRP price of the P60 lamps alone, plus if it came with 2xSF123s - I foresee a few CPF households overflowing with spare G2 bodies.

Wow, That's great that the G2 will be going down in price. Makes me glad I took a chance on Botach when they had them on sale. If I had just payed $40 or more I would be ill. Now I can have onne in each car etc. Any word on E2e or G2z prices. Those are my next lights and I will hold off in prices will be droping on those.
Thanks

So that means all of those people out there right on the edge of buying an M6 should grab one NOW...before you end up paying more.

what about the M4 after the increase?

i wonder if anybody would be kind enough to post a list of any sf item that will move in price feb 1.

The prices here in Sweden has increased too. I would say about 8%-15%!

What about aprox. $105 for a 6P and $520 for a M6! I got my M6 for $230
