surefire stiletto pro 2

Received my repaired Stiletto 2. Invoice says "Tested and operating as new program." I'm assuming they updated the light's firmware. We shall see.
Please let us know if it craps out on you, again.

Update....Here's an unscientific runtime breakdown. Light was on HI....
Green to Yellow: 26 minutes.
Yellow to Red: 48 minutes.
Red to Flashing Red: 51 minutes.

There was a slight dip in output between colors. But overall, pretty consistent.

Strongly considering this as my new EDC light but the non-serviceable battery and reported QC issues give me pause. There's no manufacturer in the world with a zero defect rate, but the inability to resolve issues despite multiple attempts is at minimum a yellow flag. As for the battery, just about all of my existing lights use removable, off-the-shelf batteries so it's an attribute I prioritize. I can overlook a non-serviceable battery on a lower priced product but at ~$350 the planned obsolescence is a bit hard to swallow.

Are there any owners willing to share ringing endorsements that could balance out my doubts? Alternatively, are there any competing products on the market with comparable attributes (size, light quality, lumens, candela, etc)? Appreciate any insights ya'll can provide.

One, Welcome to CPF.

Two, there's another issue.... SureFire did nothing to change the body design. Which can best be described as Holding a slippery fish that wants to squirt out of your hand. I own both the original Stiletto, and the Pro versions. If anything, the problem is actually worse on the aluminum-bodied Pro version than the Polymer-bodied Original! The Pro 2 is one I will not be buying despite being able to afford the ridiculous asking-price.

It's a very crowded and competitive field out there in terms of quality, output, and definitely price.
