This is my TITAN :)

The lux reading at 1meter is about 1112 lux, I estimated the total output should reach 80 lum in beginning.

Runtime, about 1 hour regulation in max output, not bad, though surefire says 65 lum/2h.

In brief, this small beautiful light is very bright, tint is very white, beam is very smooth, the UI is perfect.
I am #0164, who is my neighbor

Updated information 11/2:
Forgot to mention this, TITAN seems has low battery indication, it will start flicking when lose regulation (after 60 min), if turning head to decrease the output when flicking, the lower light is stable.

Nice beamshots, Chao. I like how they included hallway and house items, to give better perspective of the light. Does anyone know if there will there be a Surefire brand CR2? Or are they endorsing Duracell?

Thanks Chao,

Nearly an hour of regulated light at 80 lumens on a CR2 is pretty impressive.

I wonder what it would be for a 350mah RCR2 which is what I'm using.

#307 calling in . :)

I think you're looking at 80% on his chart. He says it may start out around 80 lumen, but only for the first few minutes, then it drops down probably to the 65lumen range, and then continues to drop from there.

Congratulations to those who snagged aTitan and enjoy it. I don't think I'd be interested in such a light, even for $100, maybe if it was $50-70. At that price I wouldn't be afraid to put it on my keychain.

It continues to amaze me that people who have no idea what the hell their talking about make comments like this. However, that is THEIR opinion, so I must respect it, whether or not I agree. Anyway, I just learned that my Titan(s) are shipping today and I should have them mid-next week. I'm stoked.

Seems quite dim and average run time.
I.M.O. this light should cost more like 50-75 bucks.
lol.... :nana: imagine 80 lumens (at Out Front .... not at LED) from a CR2 battery for 60 + Minutes...

If it was any other light.... let's say a U Binned Lux III ...on a CR2 battery will it even generate 40 Lumens for 30 Minutes???

Perhaps.. then we can appreciate ;)

Yup, As with all surefire's ... the cost is definitely on a higher side... but then.. hey .... it's SureFire ...

A Fenix Light (probably even smaller then Fenix P1) would be let's say around 60 - 70 some thing.... (now don't tell me Fenix Who :p) :nana:

If you want to split hairs, his chart shows that it stays at 90% of initial
output for at least half an hour and still stays above 80% for a full hour.

That means at least 72 lumens for the 1st half an hour and still staying above
65 lumens for a full hour.

The regulation in the graph is very impressive.

Chao, did you happen to do a runtime with the panasonic that it came with?

i wondering how much better the duracell cr2 is compared to the panasonic?

thanks!

Very nice!

A light like this terrifies me, however. Heck I bought a user grade Jil intelli specifically so that I wouldn't mind putting it on my key ring and I still won't affix it to the keys permanently...! I wouldn't put my old Arc AAA on my keyring either :green: actually ... I think my balk point for a key ring light is around $25

Still - a small CR2 light sure does ride more comfortably in the pocket than a bit hunk of 123 ;)

I think I will try to get some brand new panasonic CR2 batteries for my Titan :) and also for another runtime test.
