My friend saw my 9P, he now want to get a surefire also. This will be his 1st surefire and he want to have a 9V setup. Base on the look and price, he likes the Z3.
I don't see a lot of talk about Z3, please Z3 owner give us some comments on Z3 and advices on it. Thanks a lot!

I like the Z3. The Z3 was my first larger model SF. I got it after an E1 SG. The output is good and the light is comfortable to use. It can ride in cargo pockets well if you don't get a holster for it. The Z3 is an under rated gem in the SF line.

I would also urge you to consider the M3. Its output and beam is superior. The flexability to use the entire M series of accessories is a big plus as well. If it is too pricey new, watch the B/S/T section and buy or trade for an M3. (FYI, my M3 is my torch and my Z3 is waiting for the KL3 to become the big LED light).

With either the Z3 or M3 I would consider a clickie switch and get the KLx series bezel. That offers alot of flexability to the light.

Have fun selecting...

I bought a used Z3, though it has 105/200 Lumen capability...I really wanted it for the 3 cell voltage to put a KL3 on it. I was spoiled by the quality of the beam on my E2E-HA and though the Z3 was brighter I didn't like the oval shape. Now I'm not saying all Z3s have that shape beam...there are others that probably know better than I?

Not a problem, extra heads still there if I need it, but it's a KL3 rig for me (and the KL3 looks sooooo good on it with that streamline body)!
