Swiss Army Knives roll call.

My EDC is an Alox Minichamp in silver. I carry it everyday and use it all the time.
My favourite however has to be my two Swisschamps as they have so many features and tools.
However - my treasured one is this Swisschamp Supertimer with black scales. It has a quartz mini watch built into the scales. I'm told it's rare and ever rarer in black and is an early one. It came to me in the UK in a very poor state from a guy in Canada and has been to Victorinox in Switzerland for a complete restoration and is now perfect. I probably couldn't afford to buy it now!
That's a cool collector knife. Cool Cabot watch too.

That's how a Swiss Army issued SAK looks after 60 years of hard use (model 1964).

It's still very useful.

This is how a real EDC knife looks like :)

The arrow shows my first SAK a Swiss Champion with a broken saw blade i got for my 30th birthday. I was 66 last Sunday. I sent it to Victornox and it has been repaired and is currently retired. I got a great deal on what i think is called a Champion that has one less space that eliminated the saw blade. Its the big one in the middle of the photo. It was so cheap i bought 3 and still have one new in box.

Honestly, if you take care of them, they'll last almost forever. Long story but I twisted the screwdriver/bottle opener blade on mine. Over time, it was just bugging me so I sent it in to be replaced (even though it was still functional). They, at my request, kept everything original, including the scales. They replaced that one blade/tool and even my missing toothpick. They also sharpened the two knife blades. All for $5.00. So, after over 30-years the knife is still going strong. It will, undoubtedly, out last me.

Funny i removed all the tools (tweezers, tooth pick ballpoint pen small screwdriver in the corkscrew) from mine figuring that would be less for them to worry about not expecting any of it to be replaced but the knife came back brand new with all new parts. I was told the scales would be replaced so i asked them to return the original scales with the knife.
I liked the knife so much i got my Brother in law the same Swiss Champion as he thought mine was very useful. Next time i saw it one of the scales was missing the other about 20% was broken off.
I shook my head. Next time i saw it it was without scales. He was always hard on his tools. As long as a tool did the job it didn't mater what it looked like.

@Buff I knew guys like that. It's like they intentionally abused their tools to show how rugged the tools were. That or they're just idiots.
Oh and I never, ever loaned my SAK to anyone. I had a beater Pakistani knife in my toolbox just for that purpose...and I'd still warn them to take care of it.

I think most of mine have been Tinkers or Super Tinkers. I end up outfitting my family members, so at least two have been "adopted" by family members, and I ended up with one that the Swiss logo has fallen off of (Vic. brand). That one hangs with my keys on my belt loop.

My Vic. Rescue Tool resides in one of my Trauma Kits. It doesn't get used, it is reserved for emergency use only.

The super tinker is my favourite always in pocket Victorinox.

The knife next to the one in the center of my picture on its side i found on the Pineda Causeway in Florida when i was out on a long bike ride many years ago. It wasn't in too bad a shape but may have been run over as it was a bit hard to open. It was free so no complaints. I worked the blades with oil after i cleaned the grit out of it an it's 80% with just some cosmetic damage.
