Have you guys seen this for the X5T? I may have to get one. Seems like a good accessory for this light.

Tadgear sells them. I believe 1SKS and Shomer Tec are also going to stock them.

Hmmmmm......that looks more like it's attached to the original X5 to me than an X5T.

I wonder if it will work on both models??

That things' got "liability' written ALL over it...............................................................................
......................................GET IT!

Here is a link to the manufacturer. More info there:

It is also now available for the X5T, although the site doesn't mention it. Someone suggested to the manufacturer that they make one for the X5T that has a pocket clip. That would be great.

I wish they would make one of these for my Arc LS with the 123 battery holder. There are a lot of vicious squirrels in my neighborhood and I need the right tool for the job.

Side note on Craigs comment. Attention CPF'ers.....a lamprey is a type of fish, I believe, that has a circular mouth filled with teeth similar to the device mentioned above. It is not a new type of lamp, light, or torch so please do not ask where you can purchase one.

Hmmm ... if they made one for the X5T with a pocket it clip i would buy it in a minute, and then grind the teeth off!

You may want to look at the post here on CPF where someone dropped their X5-T and a big chunk of the metal came off. I wouldn't risk putting this device on a light that is that prone to crumbling with such a little fall.

Hmmm. So when will someone come out with a folding bayonet for our flashlights?

"...this is a 100% working flashlight"
'no, no ,no, it looks like a flashable-knife'

I have one of these on one of my Arc LSs with a 2 AA pack. It fits perfectly and actually works better than it does onh the E2 it was designed for. The E2 makes a sproket tooth pattern that distracts me.

Webley is right. Depending on your location, you may be fine with this modification from the criminal prosecution standpoint, BUT any shrewd attorney in a civil case would find this helps a jury tip the scales of justice toward their client the plaintiff.

This type of implement will rip and tear a jagged laceration that repairs with likely jagged scars, just begging for sympathy from the jury..."Did young Tommy deserve to have these gruesome scars inflicted over a misunderstanding? The defendant clearly demonstrates his intent to maim, and malice aforethought for customizing this weapon in such deadly fashion!"

And of course in California, the manufacturer may wind up sued as well for the criminal use of his lawful product which is otherwise not defective.

In any case, be sure you can justify the level of force utilized in your encounter, demonstrate that you have trained appropriately, and be careful that your actions and comments before, during, and after the encounter minimize your exposure to criminal prosecution and civil liability. Of course you will prevail in the interaction. :-}

How do you carry one of these things without maiming yourself ??
Anyone carry a case or holster that would protect yourself and still provide for a smooth draw?

Good points Norman. Personally, I'd rather have the tool and eliminate the immediate threat to my health and worry about the idiotic court system later. But, like you said, just be sure you can justify the level of force utilized, and you "should" be ok.
