I just bought a Vector 12 volt plug-in spotlight with a 100W H3 bulb. When plugged into the car's cigarette lighter it looks brighter at close range than my POB HID.

I love this new light, so I plug it into the DC outlet of my Pro's Favorite or 15mcp Thor so I can take it on walks. It has a lot of throw, a bright hotspot, and a nice floody corona.

I think 12V DC spotlights are great. I recommend anyone else with a Pro's Favorite or "Motor Trend" branded Thor should consider doing this.:)

ZOMFGROTFLMAO!!!!!!

:crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup::crackup:

I just got the greatest mental picture of you taking a leisurely stroll through the woods carrying a GIANT spotlight JUST TO POWER ANOTHER SPOTLIGHT. Love It.

You have Flashaholism BAD. :D

Thanks Beer! I do have extreme flashaholism. I love the beam pattern of the 12V spotlight, and it gets amazing runtime off of the huge 12 volt 7 ah SLA.:D

One reason why I like to do this is because I use the Pro's Favorite when I want laser like throw to spot far away objects, and I use the 12V spotlight to light up cloeser range things like fields or buildings because it has a more floody beam.:grin2:

Is the low beam on the Pros Favorite not working? j/k :D

Hey you don't have to make a logical argument for it. Flashaholism is doing it not because it makes sence, but because YOU CAN :tinfoil:

(BTW my wife still rolls her eyes at me when I charge the cell phones off the Pros Fav...in the house.)

This is one of the best points made I have ever seen posted on CPF.:twothumbs

I have thought of doing this too! I would think that the car charger hooked up the the Pro's Favorite would charge the phone faster than the standard AC charger, so it is actually a very smart thing to do!;)

Yes it does provide quite a visual scenario doesn't it? :hahaha:

IIRC I've only used mine to power a portable DVD player & various camping accessories :D

I think a picture of that scene should be your new avatar Blue22.

LOL!!! Thanks, I really like that idea. In my new avatar I can have the small 12V spotlight plugged into the Pro's Favorite and leaning up against it.:D

I just bought the Brinkmann Max Million III 3 Million Candlepower 12V DC plug-in spotlight. I am VERY impressed by it as it is much brighter with a lot more throw than the Max Million II Rechargeable, and somewhat brighter than my Brinkmann Qbeam Big Max 3 million MaxPower spotlight. The reason why I am so blown away by it is because it has a pencil beam that throws at least as far as my 10mcp Thor and its flood mode is also very impressive. I bought it because it reminded me so much of the LightForce SL240 Blitz... It is a giant black pistol grip with a 100W Halogen bulb (Although the beam is suspiciously white which makes me think it is a Xenophot bulb) and bears a striking resemblance to the Blitz. It was quite a bit brighter than my 3mcp Vector and seems just as bright as the POB although it doesn't have the laser beam and laser like throw of the POB.

I am very happy with it and will be taking it on walks powered by my 15mcp Motor Trend Thor.

EDIT: I was just outside shining it around the neighborhood and I had it plugged into my 15mcp Thor's DC outlet. It is really super powerful and painted trees at 300 yards so brightly it looked like daytime. This light has a very powerful pencil beam and a very bright hotspot, almost as bright as my 15mcp Thor's Hotspot. It has the exact same beam intensity and throw as my 10mcp Thor and a much larger, wider hotspot.
I really like it as I feel I now have a $26 alternative to the SL240 Blitz.:grin2:

ADDED:

Last night I tested the Brinkmann Qbeam Max Million III in some very big fields. I shined it at a swath of trees about 1/3 of a mile away and it illuminated them very brightly. When I shined it at trees 1/2 a mile away it did a very nice job illuminating them and I was amazed at how much throw it had, just as much as my 10mcp Thor. That is the amazing thing about this light... It throws just as well as larger lights with larger reflectors, so I am very happy with it! I compared it to my 15mcp Thor which clearly out threw it and had a much more intense beam. The Brinkmann would cover a swath of about 20 trees from 1/3 of a mile while the THOR would put an extremely bright Maxabeam like spot on them maybe only as wide as about 1 or 2 trees. The Thor amazingly lit up trees that appeared to be 1 mile away, so far away they looked miniature. I am still very impressed and blown away by the Thor's distance coverage.

I was out shopping last night and they had another Qbeam called the "Brinkmann Qbeam Max Million III 3 Million MaxPower". The only apparent differences between it and my other Q-III where that it had a shorter and fatter filament, and is rated in "MaxPower" rather than "Candlepower". So I decided to get it as it looked like an even more powerful version of the original Max Million III.

It is quite impressive, it has a perfect round wide beam with a lot of throw but still a lot of flood. On a dark country road it lights it up to about 1/4 of a mile away, many times more powerful than a car's brights. I shined it at trees about 1/3 of a mile away and it easily illuminated them. It doesn't have the rectangular pencil beam that the other Qbeams do, just a more widespread circle of light but still super long throwing range.

It is a 12V Plug in and works fine running from my Thor.

I am very impressed with it and feel it outperforms all of my other Brinkmann Qbeams!:twothumbs

Get your receipts together and return all your Q-Beams and hand held 12V plug ins and order up a N30!

Geesh!! :) :p

:D Despite what I said before and all of the new lights, I am actually going to order my N30 this week. I can't wait to get it and I'm sure I'll love it.

Considering the output of the N30 compared to the million candlepower spotlights...you might want to get your receipts together.

I wish I can afford one, but then again...its more fun playing with mag mods :)
