Does any one have experience with taking apart an OMS VEGA. I am trying to re purpose the light for use as a short distance small flood light and need to change the lens.

Any recommendations or insight would be appreciated

I have taken my Vega apart. I too am puzzled exactly how to take it all the way apart down to the LED and driver.

I did learn the perfect tool for removing the lens is a watch back remover. Harbor Freight and other 'junk' tool stores carry those. I have the adjustable kind that uses the little claws. My tool uses three claws, but works on the Vega with two. Be sure and lube the o-ring before putting the lens back so it won't leak.

I have pictures that I will be happy to share with you. I cannot post them here, because I am not enlightened or I don't know what I am doing.

You can post them and it's easy. Upload them into photobucket.com or some other hosting service (no charge).

Each pic you upload will be given a "url" (the code-thing that begins http://...) and all you do is put "img" tags either side of the url, like this:
COLOR]
.

How can I take apart the driver and led emitter on the OMS Vega?

Thanks!
