Admin note: Threads of this nature should be in the MarketPlace. Thread closed.

I posted a thread a while back on CPF regarding my bad experience in buying a Teking 35W HID torch.

http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=285279

The battery runtimes should be close to 2 hours but I only get less than 1 hr on two different batteries.

The batteries drain when sitting on my bench after proper charging in less than 2 weeks.

This torch will never be ready for an emergency and therefore I can no longer use it for it's intended purpose.

The bulb is off centre.

I would like to know if there is a way to unscrew the head off this torch to adjust the bulb position.

It screws in and out to adjust the crappy beam. But there is no point at which this beam becomes in-focus.

When the head unscrews out towards the front it seems like it comes to a dead stop.

I am afraid to unscrew the head any further than this.

I have taken some photos of this torch and the case to alert people to what I have been through and maybe recognise the torch in question.

Other CPFers may have already bought this HID torch and if anybody is considering buying it be warned by my experience.

There seems to be some discussion lately about this type of HID being a cheap way to get into HID torches.

I bought a Stanley 35W HID and have never looked back since.

I just have to put the Teking purchase down to bad luck and never deal with that dealer ever again.

LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!

BATTERIES USELESS!!

FOCUSSING USELESS!!
