Tec 400 and 600

Tec 400 and 600 are 4C, 5.2w and 6C, 7.8w lights respectivly, by Princeton Tec.

What's the story on these lights?

Does anyone have one?

How is the switch configured?

Unlike other well reputated flashlight makers, Princeton sometimes overstate its rating. I have Tec 40 that they rated 4W and in fact, it is 2.4W.

Tec 400 and Tec 600 are dive lights - about all I know - I have been told that the 600 will melt out of water.

I have just heard that they are introducing a light called Surge - 8 AA - 8 watts with switch - This dive link list the specifications of the lamp.

Wow, I have to see this light now. If it is really 8.2w it should be brighter then any of the 2 cell Surefires and in the range of the 3 cells lights. Looks impressive.
