Here's another interesting fact...

You can NOT be charged with running a red light as long as the light is still yellow when you ENTER the intersection. Translation? Say you see the light is yellow... "OH CRAP!!" ... and you keep going into the intersection and you even SEE the light turn red!!

... well, as long as the light was still yellow when you entered the intersection (your front tires passed over the stop line), you have not run the red light. The cameras know this, by the way. And they do allow for it. So really the only people who get nailed with running a red light are those who truly deserve it. Also... my daughter was nailed for speeding, not running the light. I love those cameras...

While I'm pretty fond of what I know of Sasha's parenting skills, I need to point out just how responsible of a parent *I* am. I don't even let my daughter drive, and she has never in her life "loitered." I rest my case.

Just don't ask what her three favorite beverages are, and we'll do fine.

As far as the movie quote.....uhhh...umm....please don't tell me you havne't seen "A Few Good Men".....you know.....Tom Cruise......Jack Nicholson.....Demi Moore.....Kevin Bacon.....You know....some of those no-name actors. If you haven't seen it....then I can't explain it.

OK, well anyway the information I have comes from the unbiased

Car & Driver magazine. Anyhew, like I was saying, making the lights stay yellow longer before they turn red, even like half a second longer, reduces red light runners and reduces accidents. Sure the cameras won't nab you if you enter on a yellow but if you'd gotten a ticket at a light with a camera wouldn't you be a little mor jumpy there? Following too close or not it comes down to this:

Making the light stay yellow longer is a better and more effective solution but the state doesn't make any money that way. End of story, discussion, etc. etc..

P.S. I am one of the few people I know who never drove illegally, that is to say before I had a permit or license. AND my parents let me post here, great people they are

I actually agree with you.....however....I say make the yellow a half a second longer AND put in the cameras. Then they would have no excuses. But there needs to be something there to punish those that disobey the traffic laws also. And I'd rather have a camera there doing that than to waste valuable police officers doing it.
 
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Death penalty for parking violators would solve lots of the world's problems.

Come on Dan. That would be silly if my daughter was three years old.... She isn't even two yet.

It always scares me how quickly some folks can provide a photo journal to disprove about anything I say... I've GOT to stop posting pictures... Graham even brings up the dreaded tricycle movie...

You guys crack me up.

Every day that my wife comes home to find that Kyrs is NOT in child protective services, and that I'm NOT in prison - is a good day for her.
