I convinced a 2AA one dollar plastic flashlight to swallow 3CR123's and switched the bulb for a Radio Shack 6v 650 mah one. Only my first mod but instantly I .......saw the light!
But, want brighter still if can be, and I figure the only way to tell how far too far is is when something melts. Not interested in investing in batteries now, but is there a different bulb I can use to make it brighter? Am I at the top already cuz I am overvolting the bulb, or is that the whole idea and should I go to a still a lower voltage bulb to overvolt it more? Or am I missing the boat altogether? Im surprised it didnt get hot, but I only ran it a minute at a time.

Once I have my 3 posts I plan on changing my name to Voltaire if it's available.
