ThanksGiving Sale

I used to help a world renowned auctioneer in Tennessee with estate sales. When people start bidding against themselves to win its time for everyone else to fold. 😀

Of course, there may be a different explanation:
Powerup bid $400, then Vinh tossed in the free batteries, so Powerup added another $25 to say 'thanks' for the bonus.

In which case, Powerup is just being a righteous, stand-up kind of person.

Worth considering that possibility, too.

Whoever bid $375, be ready to step up when Powerup's mom won't PayPal the money!

Just saying, 0 posts, buying high-end custom flashlight, saying he's a flashaholic but never posting anything since joining in July, isn't adding up!

It is a bit strange to have a newcomer plopping down that kind of dough for such a one-of-a-kind light.

I hope it pans out though, I would be quite upset with someone messing around in an unsavory fashion with our Vinh. Especially on such a kind-hearted thread.

He bought many many lights from me already. This is probably his third M43vn alone. He just never post.

I have a lot of CPF lurkers that never post. They only read and buy.

Well how about that! Too often, it seems like you can't go wrong by thinking the worst of your fellow human beings.

But every now and then, you try to think the best of them, and you turn out to be right!

I suspect this may have something to do with the good example of fairness and honesty set by our host....

When you treat people decently, then sometimes they return the favor!

Awesome gesture! Thanks for sharing!

I had a friend who's brother had a cleft pallet. He had it repaired 25+ years ago and it was just enough for him to function. It is amazing how much this technology has come since then. Such a great cause!

Two points:

1) Your ability to think about those who are worse off, even when you yourself are hurting, is truly inspirational.
2) Do you want to edit that last post to pull down your phone number? It's your call (not a phone joke), but you might not want it public.
