Azhu tested new 319A 90CRI emitters and it looks like they are better without AR coating.

One wonders if the difference is discernible to the necked eye ........ whatever the heck a necked eye is. :p
Yes it would be discernable on various colored targets. it's a >~100 difference.

I'll have a blue Christmas without you
I'll be so blue just thinking about you
Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree
Won't be the same, dear, if you're not here with me

And when those blue snowflakes start falling
That's when those blue memories start calling
You'll be doing all right with your Christmas of white
But I'll have a blue, blue, blue, blue Christmas

3) questions for the pros who can read these graphs well.

1) we get "rosier" below the black line, that's correct right?
2) can we order a clear replacement glass to get the same results as the second graph?
3) what's the downside to no AR coating? Slight loss of light output? But similar color rendering to no lens?

If this is an easy way to get a rosy color and only lose a bit (1-5%?) light loss, it seems worth considering. Any favorite places for glass lenses? Oops. That's 4 questions. Thanks.
I suppose there's always the Lee filter option to try reduce the green a bit if that is what the first chart is showing.

1. Yes, below black line you'll have rosy beam
2. You can order clear glass from watch shop, fleebay or fasttech, kaidomain etc
3. You will never see downside of missing AR coating. Output loss is not worth mentioning.

Re: The 4Sevens and Foursevens Picture and Random Question Thread

Any beam shots?
The New 319 emitter is ~4100 to my eyes, a Tad warmer than what I see as neutral white.
I do notice the CRI, and colors popping accurately :).
I see no visible tint shift of the corona, fades off from the hotsot very well.
I will experiment more, and try to get some pics.
