I love this tail cap. I had the standard but this is truly awesome. I'm not sure why you even need to carry anything else. It's small, the momentary is perfect, and you can do candle mode. You can load it with H3 use the tab etc.

What do you guys with out the SFT using your lights for? Is there any instance in which a SFT would not be ideal.

I realize it's new so if you just haven't gotten one yet, trust me your missing out! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

umm no but you could still put the lanyard around the skinny part of the switch. I've seen it done. also doing it that way makes it so you can still stand it on end.

I prefer the Standard and Trim tailcaps. My favorite tailcap is my Standard custom made WITHOUT the lanyard and tripod holes. Nice clean look with the undrilled wall all the way around the circumference. Sorry, but I don't see the benefit of the SFT over the Standard.

I've got a few of the standard and a few of the flat top. I love the flat top and thought I could never need the standards i have again. then i was on a camping trip this week and i realized the genius that went into the tripod holes on the standard cap. It makes set up at camp a breeze.. I also rediscoved i love the way the standard cap feels in my hand. So though i love the flat top as well there are different needs for different people and different tasks and that's why there are about 6 versions of the cap floating around out there.

While I like the standard, the SFT is much easier for me to use. I've got an order in at the Shoppe for the other tailcaps, though, so I might change my mind.

After trying out the others, Standard is still my favourite. Only those little lights require the FT ... Although I do not have the SFT yet ... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

The standard still rocks. I acutally use the tripod hole, for sure. I've been a proponent of the 1/4-20 from WAY back! If we could find a way to keep that tapped hole with the SFT, I'd be all over it. Don't need a lanyard hole since I tab-carry.
