I just got my new Drop Point Trance in the mail Saturday. Apparently these are still pretty scarce, so I thought that I would post some scans. Compared to the original Trance, it has a flatter grind, wider blade and a slightly larger and more curved guard (tiny bummer though; they switched the clip from three screws to two). Very cool overall!

Regards,
Danny

How is the opening using just the flipper? Do you have to give it a good flick of your wrist like with the CRKT M16s?

Basically like the CRKT; the flipper gets the blade partway out, enough to 'wrist' it open pretty easily. I prefer to think of the flipper as a low guard, because it works very well for that and I can flick the knife open easier with the thumb studs.

Sweet! Thanks for the info revolvergeek..
I have a drop point on the way and am looking forward to carrying it.
Wanted to get an Boker MPT fixed blade as well.
Do you know anyone whos got one and what they think of it?

Are these made in US?

blades are market AUS 8 and underneath Taiwan, you cna see it in the pictures, but that just may be the blade, it might be put together here is the US? I know alot of nice blades coem from over seas like all of spyderco's VG-10 blades come from Japan, but the knives are made here in the US...Sort of...lol...

I'm really in love with the Boker Subclaw and the SUBCOM F in Desert Tan, do you have any first hand experience with these knives?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I know that. VG-10 is made in Seki Japan. However, Japan is a superpower when it comes to steel/knives/swords. I wouldn't compare Japan with China.
